Breast Augmentation at Mode

What is Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, or enlargement, is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures among women. It’s a great way to enhance your look and feel confident about your body. Whether you want to increase the size of your breasts or improve their shape, breast augmentation can help.

The implants are usually made of silicone and filled with either saline (salt solution) or silicone gel. During the procedure, the implant is inserted through an incision into the breast area and then filled with either saline or silicone gel. Your surgeon will then adjust the size and shape of the implant to create the desired results for you and your body type.

Why a Breast Augmentation?

  • Improve the size of the breast and improve cleavage
  • Restore breast volume and shape after breastfeeding or significant weight loss – (often combined with a breast lift)
  • Correct breast asymmetry
  • Correct tuberous breast deformity (also known as ‘snoopy breasts’)

Benefits of Breast Augmentation

There are many benefits associated with breast enhancement surgery, including increased self-confidence and improved body image. Many women experience improved body contours after their surgery as well as improved clothing fit and more attractive cleavage lines between their breasts. Additionally, it can also add balance to asymmetrical breasts or restore volume lost after pregnancy or weight loss.

  3. Your Initial consultation with Dr Aggarwal
  4. Second consultation with Dr Aggarwal

Recovery from Breast Augmentation

Recovery from breast augmentation surgery varies from person to person, however below is a general outline of the recovery timeline.

Most importantly, Dr Aggarwal and the team at Mode Plastic Surgery will always be on hand to answer any questions or concerns before or after your surgery.

Week 1:

  • Immediately after surgery, you will spend several hours in the recovery area for monitoring.
  • You may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort during the first few days.
  • Prescription pain medication may be necessary to manage pain.
  • Rest is essential, and you should avoid any strenuous activities or heavy lifting.
  • You will receive and wear a supportive surgical bra to minimise movement and provide comfort.

Weeks 2-3:

  • Swelling and bruising should start to decrease.
  • You may begin to transition to a softer, more comfortable bra.
  • Light activities such as walking are encouraged, but avoid vigorous exercise.
  • Follow your surgeon’s guidelines for incision care and hygiene.

Weeks 4-6:

  • Most of the initial swelling should have subsided.
  • You can gradually increase your activity level but still avoid heavy lifting and intense exercise.
  • You may start feeling more comfortable and back to your routine, but continue to be cautious.
  • Incisions will continue to heal and fade, although they may still be slightly noticeable.

Months 2-3:

  • By now, you should be able to resume most normal activities and light exercise.
  • Implants will begin to settle into a more natural position, and the final results will become more apparent.
  • Some residual swelling may persist, especially after more active days.

Months 4-6:

  • Your breasts should look and feel more natural as the healing process continues.
  • Most of the swelling should have resolved, and scars will continue to fade gradually.
  • You can usually return to more strenuous exercises and activities.

6 Months and Beyond:

  • Final results should be evident, with implants settled into their desired position.
  • Scars will continue to fade, although they may take up to a year or more to fully mature.
  • Regular check-ups with your surgeon are still recommended to ensure proper healing and address any concerns.

It’s important to note that these are general guidelines, and individual experiences may vary. Always follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions and attend all scheduled follow-up appointments for the best outcome.

Before & After Photos from Dr Aggarwal's patients

Dr. Aggarwal performed an asymmetric breast augmentation for this patient, utilizing a 235cc implant on the right side and a 275cc implant on the left. The larger implant on the right was strategically chosen to enhance the lower inner aspect of the breast, achieving a balanced and symmetrical appearance to match the left side.

This technique effectively addressed the asymmetry and provided a great outcome.

Breast Augmentation Before and After

A bilateral breast augmentation was performed on this patient using 230cc implants, enhancing the size and shape of both breasts for a desired outcome.

The procedure aimed to achieve a balanced and proportionate appearance, resulting in an enhanced overall aesthetic
